About us

An environment where kids can shine

Our spaces are carefully designed with safety, development, and fun in mind. Each space has its own atmosphere and possibilities.

  • What are we doing?

  • Our groups
  • The interior
  • The role of the educational staff

Daycare De Bloemenkinderen was founded in 2001 by Xandra as a small-scale daycare for children aged 0-12. We offer daytime care, after-school care (before and after school), and toddler programs. The small scale and the owner’s personal involvement are the strengths of our uniqueness, creating a noticeable personal atmosphere. Our most important value is ‘together’.

Our daycare is located in the rejuvenating Blixembosch neighborhood in Eindhoven, next to De Vuurvlinder primary school, with which we are a SPIL partner. We are proud of our beautiful building, with a lovely garden where ‘our children’ play and develop with great joy every day.

During construction, we naturally took into account the latest standards in safety and health.

Pedagogical vision and policy

De Bloemenkinderen is a private childcare organization that provides care for children from 3 months old until they start primary school. We are a recognized childcare organization registered with the National Childcare Register.

How do we do that?
Daycare De Bloemenkinderen aims to ensure the well-being of the child by providing a care environment that complements the home upbringing. We offer children more than just care, such as development-focused activities.

For the children, it is important that they feel safe and comfortable in their environment. The daycare should feel like a second home for the children.

Our childcare options
  • The atmosphere: Whether a child feels at home at the daycare is largely determined by the atmosphere it gives off. Light and color play an important role in creating this atmosphere. We have carefully chosen the different colors, and the large amount of windows lets in plenty of natural light. The furniture: The furniture and toys come from reputable companies and meet all safety standards. A lot of thought has gone into the layout of the spaces. There are different corners where children can engage in various types of play. They can also quietly read a book or just relax. For more active play, we have a spacious play hall. With our cart full of movement materials, children can get some good exercise. The after-school care (BSO) space: At the after-school care, children can choose from various activities. There is a seating area where the kids can read and rest. There are computers available for doing homework. The children can play games or play with all sorts of other toys. There is a doll corner with a kitchen, a building corner, and a little shop. In the real kitchen, children can cook tasty things with the educational staff. Furthermore, there is an art studio, and we have dress-up clothes so they can let their creative impulses run free.
    The outdoor space:
The outdoor space consists of a playground with various play equipment. These meet all safety standards. For the after-school care, there is also the option to play on the rooftop terrace, where the groups are adjacent. There is a lounge bench, marble pots, picnic tables, a hopscotch path, and a big slide.

For the child, the pedagogical worker acts as a replacement for their parents while taking care of the child. He/she gives the child attention, looks after them, comforts them, helps them when needed, and guides them in their development. Additionally, the pedagogical worker makes sure the space stays cozy and well-organized so that there’s a nice atmosphere. All pedagogical workers are qualified to work in childcare.
